Premier honors local cycling heroes
As of now you can ride Patrick Jonker all you like.
Premier Mike Rann has just named the southern cycling route (next to the Southern Expressway) - the Patrick Jonker Veloway – marking Patrick’s significant contribution to Australian cycling and to sport in SA.
And to the north of the city there is a new Stuart O’Grady Veloway and the freeway cycling route will honor Amy Gillett, the elite women’s cyclist who was killed in Germany while on a training ride in 2005.
All three cycling routes were announced at the end of stage four of the Tour Down Under in Angaston this afternoon
