Women's Criterium Race 2

17 January 2007
by Geraldine Hinter

After the first sprint through the main street of Tanunda, race enthusiasts were treated to the second of this year’s UniSA sponsored three-race Women’s Criterium Series, which is open to all UCI and Australian Cycling Federation Women elite category holders, with elite rider Belinda Goss outpacing other elite riders around the street circuit to take out the honours. And with her strong performance in the Down Under Classic last night, in which she came third, Goss will almost certainly be the front contender for the $10,000 in prize money, which is up for grabs, as well as the Amy Gillett Memorial trophy. Pro Vice Chancellor and Vice President: Academic, Professor Lee presented the race two winners with their prizes.
