UniSA – Australia Team Launch

a lead up event to the official launch at the velodrome at the UniSA-Australia Tour Down Under team was welcomed and introduced to a a special
audience of staff and supporters at the Adelaide Hilton yesterday.
Team UniSA Supporter’s Club captain and former Tour Down Under winner, Patrick Jonker, introduced the all-Australian team members Karl Menzies, Robert McLachlan, Mitchell Docker, Chris Jongewaard, Matthew White, Brett Aitkin, Russel Van Hout and Allan Davis. Team members McLachlan, Jongewaard and Van Hout rode in the UniSA-Australia team in 2006, and for Adelaide-based rider, van Hout, it is the seventh time in the team.
Back for another year team Manager Dave Sanders said the team has the ability to win the event.
"Every cyclist in Australia wants to ride in the Australian team and any cyclist who's not tied up with the pro teams puts their hand up to be here.
"These guys are here because they want to be here, they want to race and win.”
