The Skoda Breakaway Series
The
Tour Down Under offers a few ways for people to get actively involved in
various stages of the event, and we’re keen to get as many staff as we
can to participate and appreciate the joys of cycling. The Skoda
Breakaway Series, consisting of the
Mutual
Community Fun Tour and
Mutual
Community Challenge Tour, caters for all levels of aspiration and
fitness – why not arrange a group of your colleagues in your area to
participate?
The Fun Tour is a new inclusion this year, and is an approximately 12km
ride that will start just south of the city and ride down Anzac Highway
under escort to the Tour Down Under Classic course at Glenelg.
Riders will do a lap of the actual course used and get to experience,
first hand, the excitement of the crowd. It is intended to be a
leisurely ride, suitable for all from the complete novice to the lycra
clad professional.
The Challenge Tour is similar to past years in that people can cycle one
of the stages of the TDU before the professionals take to the road. This
year it is on Stage 4, and there are options to do the full 134km or a
shorter 73.5km section.
So come on, gather a group of work colleagues and make the commitment to get involved in the TDU in January.
So come on, kick start your summer fitness campaign!
