Work undergraduate degree is also offered at the Whyalla Campus and the Mount
Gambier Campus, and the programs have a
particular focus on rural and regional issues.
Social Work and Rural Practice provides a range of quality education, research and consultancy services designed to meet the needs of individuals, human services organisations and regional communities. These activities are underpinned by a commitment to the principles of human dignity, social justice, service to humanity, respect for diversity, integrity and competence.
Staff work very closely with the Australian Association of Social Workers to ensure that the degree program reflects the needs of the profession.
The undergraduate degree in Social Work is a fully accredited four year internal program preparing students for professional practice, with a particular focus on rural and regional issues. It attracts women and men from diverse backgrounds and ages for full or part-time studies, with credit recognition available for prior learning experiences.
