Centre for Research into Sustainable Health Care (CRSHC)
The Centre for Research into Sustainable Health Care (CRSHC) provides a focal point for research programs aimed at the promotion and maintenance of understandings about good health, with particular emphasis on social and sustainable dimensions of health and health care. A multidisciplinary team of researchers conducts research related to the specific areas of:
- Knowledge development: Theory and Qualitative Methods
- Care of the Older Person
- Living with Chronic Conditions
- Health Workforce Matters
The centre draws on various theoretical perspectives in order to promote enhanced understandings of health and has internationally recognised expertise in qualitative research methods. A rich research culture is promoted, with emphasis on research training and development amongst team members, research staff and postgraduate students. Amongst them, the researchers hold a number of Australian competitive grants, including ARC Discovery, ARC Linkage and NHMRC project funding. The centre is performance focused and performance driven.
