Psychology is both a science and a profession. It explores the psychological phenomena of human and animal behaviour and uses the scientific method to explore the nature of behaviour and social interactions.

UniSA is the only university in the state which allows students to study both disciplines at an undergraduate level. Offering a rich learning environment in psychology, the School is an academic centre of excellence within the beautiful surrounds of Magill campus.

UniSA offers a range of undergraduate degrees including the Bachelor of Psychological Science which provides students with an understanding of the theoretical basis of psychology; the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) program which develops advanced knowledge and skills in psychology and is also the pre-requisite for postgraduate study in the field; the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Cognitive Neuroscience) program which focuses on the study of the relationship between the brain and behaviour; and the new Bachelor of Psychological Science (Counselling and Interpersonal Skills) , which is specifically designed for students who wish to study both psychology and counselling in depth.

Students are taught by academic staff with strong research credentials who are in the forefront of psychological research.
