Faster enrolments experienced, but room for improvement
Feedback from the Student Experiences Questionnaire indicated that new and continuing students spent less time enroling than previous years.
This year new students enroled at a much faster rate than previous years, with 78 per cent taking less than two hours to enrol online, compared to last year's 67 per cent.
To add to the encouraging statistics, 93 per cent of continuing students completed their enrolment in less than two hours, up from 85 per cent recorded last year.
Satisfaction levels have remained steady, with 63 per cent of new students and 77 per cent of continuing students satisfied with their enrolment.
Changes Student and Academic Services are considering as a result of the feedback include increased confirmation of enrolment actions (students said they needed more reassurance that they had completed each enrolment step); better communication of enrolment processes (in particular earlier notice to students); and for the survey to be expanded to include specific questions for external students and to allow for multiple responses to questions.
