Let the games begin
As the world's most prestigious sporting event, the Olympic Games,
gets underway in Greece this month and many of you take time out to
watch and cheer the Australian athletes on, keep an eye out for the
following UniSA students and graduates.
Carmel Bakurski (Graduate) – Hockey, Olympics debut.
David Barnes (Student – Bachelor of Business and Commerce) – Archery - recurve, Olympics debut.
Brooke Krueger (Graduate) – Athletics (Hammer), Olympics debut.
Sally Newmarch (Graduate) – Rowing (Women's lightweight double skull), previously competed in the Sydney and Atlanta Olympics.
Mark Ormrod (Student – Diploma of Applied Science) – Athletics (4x100m relay), Olympics debut.
Rachael Sporn (Graduate) – Basketball, previously competed in the Sydney and Atlanta Olympics.
Laura Summerton (Student – Bachelor of Education) – Basketball, Olympics debut.
