The Bob Mierisch Memorial Prize in Civil and Structural Engineering
has been established by Judy Mierisch in memory of her late husband,
Bob, who was a well respected civil engineer and construction leader.
Bob Mierisch headed Baulderstone Hornibrook for nearly 30 years. He was
awarded an AM in 1994 for service to the building and construction
industry and to the community and he received a Centenary Medal in 2001
for service to Australian society in the technological industry.
The prize will be awarded to the student, undertaking the final year of
the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Structural) and studying
full-time, who achieves the highest aggregate grade for that year.
