Accredited Occupational Therapy Program (ACCOT) Prize

Awarded annually to the final year student in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) who has evidenced significant personal and professional development activities through a self-nomination process.
Value: 1 year membership to Accredited Occupational Therapy Program

Audrey Simpson Prize

Awarded annually for highest overall mark in Advanced Acute Care REHB 4013 in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
Value: $100

Audrey Simpson Research Prize

Awarded annually for excellence in research, to a physiotherapy student, undertaking research in an area of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy within an Honours, Master by Research or Doctor of Philosophy program. The prize may be awarded only once to any one student during their candidature.
Value: $2,000 (Masters or PhD) or $250 (Honours)

Australasian Society for Immunology (ASI) for Immunology

Awarded to the student with the highest overall mark in the course, Immunology N201 (BIOL 2037). In the event of two students having the same overall mark the prize will be awarded to the student with the highest exam mark.

Australian & New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM) Prize

Awarded to the most outstanding student in the courses of Years 1, 2 and 3 of the Bachelor of Medical Radiation (Nuclear Medicine) program.
Value: $150 and 12 months membership of the ANZSNM

Australian Association of Occupational Therapists (SA Inc) Communication and Management Award

Awarded annually to the fourth year student in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) with the highest aggregate score and peer assessment in the communication/management stream over the whole of the program.
Value:  $100 plus certificate

Australian College of Children and Young People's Nurses (SA) Undergraduate Prize

Awarded to the student with the highest overall mark in NURS 2022 Health of Infants, Children and Young People in the Bachelor of Nursing (IBNU).
Value: $100 cash prize and one year Associate membership ($75) to the College which includes a subscription to Neonatal, Paediatric and Child Health Nursing Journal.

Australian College of Mental Health Nurses Branch (SA Branch) Award for Clinical Excellence

Awarded to the student who displays the highest level of clinical excellence in the Graduate Diploma of Mental Health Nursing upon completion of the program.
Value: Registration for College membership for one year and a cheque for $100

Australian College of Midwives Incorporated Award

Awarded to the most outstanding graduating student in the clinical field practice component of the Bachelor of Midwifery program.

Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology Prize

Awarded to the student with the highest GPA in the final year of the Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Sciences program.

Australian Physiotherapy Association Neurological Group (SA Chapter) Award

Australian Sonographers Association (ASA) Student Award

Awarded annually to the postgraduate medical sonography student submitting the best written paper pertaining to the practice of medical sonography, that is suitable for either oral presentation at the next ASA Annual National Conference or for publication in Sound Effects. The prize is a framed certificate, free ASA membership (including type A insurance) for one year and free full registration to the next ASA national conference for those recipients who agree to either present at the conference or publish an article in the quarterly bulletin, Sound Effects (or both).

The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand Postgraduate Student Award for Excellence

Pharmaceutical Society Gold Medal

Awarded on completion of the Bachelor of Pharmacy to the student who has the highest grade point average (GPA) and has completed the program within four academic years, providing the final GPA is above 6.25. The student must have completed at least 3 years fulltime in a pharmacy program at the University of South Australia.

Ruth Grant Prize

Awarded annually to the student in the research program of Master of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or Doctor of Philosophy who must be a physiotherapist and who distinguishes themselves in their dedication and application to research in physiotherapy.  The prize will recognise achievements in research grants, publications, presentations and scholarly activity during their candidature.

Ruth Grant Prize for Academic Excellence

Awarded to the final year student in the Master of Physiotherapy (Graduate Entry) who distinguishes herself/himself academically throughout the two years of the degree. (highest GPA over two years of study).

Sansom Publication Awards

Two annual Sansom Publication awards will be made each year, one for the publication with the highest overall impact factor, and one for the publication with the highest impact factor when ranked by field. Students must be first author on the publication, and the publication must contain original research.

SA Pharmacists Corporation Ltd - Burden Pty Ltd Prize

Awarded to the fourth year student in the Bachelor of Pharmacy who has achieved the highest aggregate mark in the courses PHAR 4005 Applied Pharmacotherapeutics 400 and PHAR 4011 Applied Pharmacotherapeutics 401 Theory.

Sheila Bailey Midwifery Prize

The Sheila Bailey Midwifery Prize is open to eligible South Australian students whose home is in a rural, remote or isolated area and who are enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor of Midwifery (IBMW) program. Staff Award for Podiatric Clinical Practice

Awarded to the student in the Bachelor of Podiatry with the highest aggregate score in Podiatric Studies 101, Podiatric Clinical Practice 200 and 201 and Podiatric Clinical Practice 300 and 301 in the area of patient care and treatment skills.

Awarded to the student who has achieved the highest aggregate mark in the first year of the Bachelor of Pharmacy.

Awarded to the student who has achieved the highest GPA in the second year of the Bachelor of Pharmacy program.

The 'Tommy Lyon' Award for Aged Care

Awarded to the best performing student who achieves a consistently high GPA across the first two years of the Bachelor of Nursing program (IBNU and WBNU), and who demonstrates a high degree of skills and a caring professional approach (i.e. highest grade in ELA Practicum 1) to clinical practice in Aged Care.

Awarded to the student gaining the highest marks for the presentation component in Clinical Practice 400A and Clinical Practice 400B.
