Six Sigma Green Belt

Course Description & Learning Objectives

Six Sigma emphasizes quality improvement, but is more than just statistics and tools. The Six Sigma methodology is a systematic application that is focused on achieving bottom line financial improvements and increasing customer satisfaction. When properly applied on carefully selected business projects, Six Sigma can lead to significant reduction in and often eliminates altogether, defective and out of control processes. That improvement translates directly to immediate and dramatic financial profitability.

Six Sigma Green Belts provide value to sponsoring organisations in several ways. They serve as the work team for Black Belt projects, collecting and analysing data, developing process maps and in carrying out design of analysis and experiments. These activities serve both as support and accelerate progress in every project to help maximise the organisation's return on investment, adding capacity and greater numbers of breakthrough improvement projects.

Green Belts are often referred to as the engine room of Six Sigma projects. They are often assigned specific improvement projects, within the scope of their normal day to day duties that require an intermediate level of applied statistical analysis.

This Six Sigma Green Belt training is conducted over two 5 day sessions with approximately 4 weeks between each session.

Bonus: Attendees can apply for credit for 1 course in the Master of Management program at UniSA.
