ATN Women's program at the University of South Australia

The University of South Australia is justly proud of its status and reputation as an equal opportunity employer. Staff and management at the University have a strong commitment to affirmative action strategies aimed at maximising the University's ability to make the most of its increasingly diverse and multi-talented workforce. This commitment is designed to enhance the development of flexible and visionary management styles that are suited to the challenges of the future. It will champion entrepreneurial expertise responsive to the current financial structure of the University and will promote the University's mutually beneficial links with corporations in the public and private sector, within Australia and overseas.

The national ATN Women's Program focuses on inter-institutional links and collaboration, mutually serving the interests and enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of higher education and other public and private corporations. The ATN Women's Program is specifically tailored to service the interests and goals of targeted groups — executive women (Women's Executive Development program), and Indigenous women (Women's Indigenous Network), — as well as incorporating local university programs (Women and Leadership program at the University of South Australia).

Each strand within these national programs offers a range of activities, requiring differing levels of commitment. Each aspect of these flexible programs is designed to enrich the wider University community and facilitating women's achievements of their personal and professional goals. Offered in a variety of modes, they are adapted to meet the expressed interests and individual goals of women.
