Early Career Researcher (ECR) Development Program
2012 Nomination and Application Process
Applications now open. Applications close Friday 10 February 2012.
The Early Career Researcher Development Program is targeted at academic and
research staff in the early stages of their research careers who are seeking
opportunities for research-related career planning and skill development.
For the purposes of this program, Early Career Researchers are those who are
within five years of the start of their research careers. This normally
means they have been awarded a doctorate within the previous five years.
Researchers whose doctorate was awarded more than five years ago, but whose
research career has been interrupted, may still be eligible. Research career
interruptions could include non-research employment, misadventure, illness,
or family and career responsibilities.
Up to 30 participants will be selected to participate in the program
annually on the
basis of the case presented and their demonstrated availability and
commitment to completing the program. Participants will attend a series of
core sessions on a range of topics, engage in discussions with experienced
researchers, and receive individual mentoring on establishing a successful
academic career.
Nominations are open now for the 2012 program, and require
manager support (usually Head of School, Director of Supported Research
Centre/ Research Institute, or Director of Learning & Teaching Unit).
Please find below the 2102 application form (word);
Please note: Applications close on Friday 10 February 2012.
