Induction

Induction is the foundation of UniSA’s commitment to organisational learning and staff development.
UniSA’s induction framework consists of five components: introduction to the University, legislative obligations, introduction to the local workplace, the teaching and learning environment at UniSA and research infrastructure. These components are incorporated into a wide array of activities across the University at corporate, division/unit and school levels.
The content of a new staff member’s induction program will vary according to their employment status as continuing, contract or sessional, academic or professional staff. What you can expect from your Induction program. The interplay between the main elements of the Induction program are represented here diagramatically.
UniSA’s distinctive approach to induction is supported by a range of resources, including online and face-to-face learning opportunities. The starting point in any new staff member’s induction is:
- Completion of our on-line induction workshop on the Ethical and Legislated responsibilities of UniSA staff
- a tour through the general Induction Web Site.
