The Hawke Ambassador Program differs from traditional international exchange or study abroad programs. Students will be based within an international non-government organisation (NGO), usually at an overseas location and working as a volunteer, rather than undertaking formal study at an overseas university.

SA Model UN Conference (SAMUNC) – Professor Elisabeth Porter Professor Elisabeth Porter

Professor Elisabeth Porter (Head of School – International Studies) presented at the SA Model UN Conference on the subject of ‘Building Peace with Justice and Security’. She boldly reminded everyone peace, justice and security are closely connected and Australians should be bothered about issues of peace, justice and security.

‘For reconciliation to be more than a trendy catchphrase, building bridges of peace with justice and security involves building networks of diverse humanity that are inclusive of women and men from all branches of life, increasing the chance of securing a peaceful, just future.’
