Science at the Lakes 2011

Science at the Lakes is a National Science Week event that aims to increase student interest in science and technology and motivate them to continue with their studies in science and technology at secondary level.
The event is a fun opportunity for primary, middle and early secondary school students to engage in age specific, challenging and interesting activities. Students are exposed to the wonders of science and technology and the impact they have on daily lives.
With support from the community, industry, schools and educational institutions, the event has grown exponentially in terms of participating student numbers and the range of science activities. It has become firmly embedded in the educational calendar of northern Adelaide schools and is expanding to schools further a field in the metropolitan Adelaide area.
Into its eighth year, the Science at the Lakes will be held on Friday 19 August 2011. Be sure to mark the date into your school’s excursion diary! (Click here to watch the Science at the Lakes You tube video).
