Industry Leaders Fund Training Grants

The ILF identifies future leaders in South Australian industry and invests in their development via Grants of up to $50,000 to help them maximise their potential and bring new ideas to fruition. This investment assists in building the prosperity of productive wealth creating industry and the South Australian economy.

The Grants provided by ILF will pay for the applicant to study or obtain experience to pave the way for them to achieve their leadership capacity more quickly and effectively than would otherwise be the case. The aim is to fund training or experience that might otherwise not be accessible to the applicant.

Applications are sought from people who have demonstrated real potential to become leaders of industry in South Australia. Applicants are expected to nominate the type of training or experience opportunity they believe will best progress the realisation of their leadership potential and the expected cost. Grants of up to $50,000 are available to successful applicants.

The ILF recognises that leadership potential is not restricted to those who have a tertiary qualification and applications are encouraged from anyone who believes they have leadership potential and who has demonstrated that potential in their lives to date. Demonstration of leadership capacity is likely to have been in the workplace, but may have also been shown through positions of responsibility in a volunteer capacity, for example in a sporting club.

The ILF was created as a result of the transformation of the former Engineering Employers Association Group Training Scheme for apprentices which provided future tradespeople for South Australian industry to become an organisation that will facilitate training and experience opportunities to provide future leaders for South Australian industry.
