Commercial activities
Bringing innovations in medicine to the marketplace
With the worldwide pharmaceutical industry generating many billions of
dollars each year, the opportunities surrounding the development of new
medicines and innovations in health care are vast. Through its commercial
activities, the Sansom Institute is well-positioned to make the most of
these opportunities, while helping to bring better products to those that
need them.
Evolving from UniSA’s successful Centre for Pharmaceutical Research, the
Sansom Institute’s commercial arm, CPR, has
experienced rapid growth over recent years to become a leading provider of
bio-analytical and clinical services.
Meanwhile spin-off company PharmaQest is
reporting promising results from ongoing clinical trials of a new
gel to prevent the most common form of skin cancer, as well as pursuing
other product development opportunities.
We believe that activities such as these are vital. Not only do they allow
our researchers to receive the recognition they deserve, they also help to
ensure that the bright ideas and years of painstaking work that go on behind
the scenes in research laboratories may result in real outcomes to improve
health.
