  • Launch of 2012 exhibition program

    In association with Visual Art Educators of SA (VAESA), the Samstag Museum will present an exclusive preview of the 2012 program to art educators. The event will include a special presentation by Victoria Lynn, curator of Adelaide International 2012: Restless. Refreshments will be served.

  • Divertimento – Four movements for voices, whistles and strings
    Thursday 1 March 7pm

    Divertimento is a premiere performance by Swedish artist Annika Larson and French Cellist Augustin Maurs. Traditionally the Divertimento is a light and entertaining composition and often used to accompany banquets and other social events. This performance is presented as part of Adelaide International 2012: Restless and celebrates the opening launch of the exhibition

  • “Into Cosmos” Artists’ Week Symposium
    Friday 2 March –Monday 5 March
    Banquet Room, Adelaide Festival Centre

    Cosmos refers to the realm of imaginary possibilities and the systems by which we make sense of our place in the world. The broad themes of the Adelaide Festival – faith, emotion, mystery, universe – are taken as starting points for reflection on how art is engaged in the making of cosmology.
    Participants in this FREE symposium include leading international critics, scholars, artists and curators, as well as artists drawn from the exhibitions that form part of the Adelaide Festival Visual Arts Program.
