Your ePortfolio (web profile)
Having a web profile supports networking with other researchers and practitioners beyond the University – you can control what comes up about you in a Google search!
Current UniSA student homepage
UniSA research degree students automatically have personal homepages. To find yours, type your name into the Directory of Higher degree by research students. Information in the blue box at the top of your homepage comes from University records (databases).
You can link from your homepage to your ePortfolio site. View an example (UniSA staff member)
About the new ePortfolio system
In 2012, UniSA will use an ePortfolio system ('learnonline ePortfolio') for staff and student homepages.
Suggestions for content
In the new ePortfolio system, you are not limited to one page. The more information (key words) you include, the more easily you can be found on the web. You could include:
- Some text about yourself and an image (your profile)
- Your resume
- Your thesis details
- Any research you have published (journal articles/conference papers)
- Professional associations or other groups you are linked to
- Web links to online resources that relate to your research
Setting up your ePortfolio site
It's easy! Use ePortfolio Help to guide you in setting up your ePortfolio to meet your needs.
- Access the ePortfolio system and type in your student username and password
- Begin by developing your ePortfolio ('Create and Collect').
- Organise your ePortfolio ('Showcase your portfolio').
- Choose how to share your ePortfolio ('Share and Network').
