Writers' circles for commencing students 2012
Writers' circles provide English language support for research degree students for whom English is an additional language. The focus is on use of appropriate English conventions for research writing and speaking within the academic research context. Workshops run in conjunction with the on-campus series (business, social sciences and humanities; and sciences, health sciences, engineering and technology).
You will have opportunities to deal with writing issues, enjoy writing, ask questions, network, learn from others and provide constructive peer feedback. With regular attendance you will be able to contribute to a dynamic group of research students engaging with the challenge of developing their English writing skills during their research. You can also follow up with individual consultations.
Writers' circles are particularly relevant to Quality 6 of the Research Degree Graduate Qualities
