Sciences, health sciences, engineering and technology on campus workshops
All students whose research is in an area of sciences, health sciences, technology or engineering are encouraged to attend this series of workshops. Because of the diversity of student interests, the series aim to develop generic skills typically found in the sciences rather than any discipline-specific skills. Attending the series will help you attain the Research Degree Graduate Qualities, a requirement for the completion of your candidature (see Final Review of Progress).
Attending the Commencing series of workshops will help you complete your research proposal within the allocated six months. International students should attend this series as well as the Writers' circles
The Mid to late candidature series of workshops starts in October. You may attend these once your research proposal has been accepted. You may also wish to repeat a series to update your skills.
- Commencing research series - April to May, August to September
- Mid to late candidature series - October to December
- Communicating your research to the public - October to November
