Consultancy

ISO logoIn addition to research partnerships, UniSA offers a range of consultancy services.

The University's strengths in applied research are nationally recognised and respected.  We bring together researchers from a range of academic disciplines, and foster productive relationships that maximise the successful application of research and education to industry, professional and community needs. Our research and consultancy project management system is Quality Endorsed to Australian Standards AS9001.

General information

When you simply need to use our knowledge and skill base, our consultancy services are ideal. You can buy the skills and expertise (pre-existing know-how) of University staff and use specialised equipment to deliver your project.

You own the intellectual property (including technical advice) arising from the consultancy. Outcomes of the consultancy are strictly treated as commercial-in-confidence.

Contract research

When you need the expertise and resources to manage large or difficult projects we can help you. Contract research is tightly scoped - it has a set budget and well-defined objectives. Ownership of intellectual property is negotiated between the parties and depends on the financial and intellectual contributions of both parties.

Sponsored research

Sponsored research involves basic or strategic research not usually concerned with commercial outcomes.

Testing

The University has significant testing capability - specialised infrastructure, experienced and qualified technical staff who deliver accurate measurement and diagnostic type services. The University guarantees expert and independent testing. Specialised facilities include laboratories accredited to the National Association of Testing Authority standards.

Expert opinion services

When technical, scientific and other specialised knowledge is required for investigation or opinion purposes we can help. This service allows you to access a University academic or research professional who will provide an objective, unbiased report.

Industry based education

If your organisation or industry association would like university programs and courses customised to your industry context and delivered to staff in a way to accommodate the needs of the organisation(s), contact the Business Development Manager of any of the divisions or research centres.

For management, leadership and executive development programs, Strategic Partnerships in the Division of Business can make all the arrangements necessary to tailor business and management programs to meet your strategic business goals.
