Sound of Mumbai: A Musical

6:15pm, Friday 2 March

For one emotional night a group of children from the slums of Mumbai, India, get a chance to experience a different world as they perform The Sound of Music with a classical orchestra, fostering hopes that it could change their lives forever.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to meet other researchers and community members interested in the well-being of children, the role of arts in translating and transforming cultures, and in undertaking collaborative research projects that can make a difference.

This special event, co-hosted by UniSA’s Healthy Kids and Human Rights & Security Clusters is the first in an annual calendar of activities aimed at exploring complex issues, appreciating different sector and disciplinary perspectives, fostering creative dialogue and generating collaborative projects.
