Register of postgraduate research degree supervisors
The Register of Postgraduate Research Degree Supervisors (Policy no: RES 8) outlines the requirements of supervisors and the procedures for becoming a member of the Register. Appendix 1 contains definitions of the terms 'active researcher' and 'principal supervisor'.
Steps to joining the Register
- Ensure you are a UniSA staff member or adjunct member of staff
- Familiarise yourself with the policy (RES 8.4)

Apply to join the UniSA Register
of Postgraduate Research Degree Supervisors (please read first to follow
correct process - a link to the form is provided in this document):

- Submit your research expertise information to the Directory of Research Expertise Questionnaire. This will ensure your details are available in the Directory of Research Expertise (DORE) - a tool for future applicants but also current higher degree by research students, who may want to see other supervisors' areas of specialty. The DORE will link users to your staff homepage
- Update your staff homepage using the
Supervisor web search - entering your
information instructions. These instructions take you step by step through the process of updating
your supervisory skills on your staff homepage.
