President's Scholarships (UPS)

Information for staff on eligibility and assessment criteria (RTF file, staff access only)

UniSA President's Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and are predominantly awarded to applicants who have studied at, or worked at, an overseas institution with which UniSA has links.

Eligibility: Applicants must have a UniSA supervisor willing to nominate them for consideration, have outstanding academic records, and be a citizen of an overseas country eligible for entry to Australia for the time required to complete the research degree. UPS are nearly always given to PhD candidates but can be given to Masters candidates in some cases. These scholarships can only be taken at UniSA. Travel expenses are not covered by the scholarship.

A UPS will cover tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and may provide a living allowance in some cases. The conditions are based on those applicable to the IPRS.

Application: To be considered, you will need a President's Scholarship nomination form - RTF file or Word doc - from your principal supervisor. Ask your potential UniSA supervisor to fill out the form and return it to the address specified on the form.
