Research degrees
The MAWA Doctoral Research Scholarship has been established with the
specific intention of encouraging new scientists to advance the development,
validation and application of non-animal methods in medical research. The
recipient of the scholarship will receive an annual stipend of $22,500 and
approved expenses up to $2,500 each year for 3 years in the pursuit of a
research program leading to the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
Funding will not be made available simply in support of non-animal research per se. Award of the scholarship is contingent upon the proposed research program being consistent with the stated aims of the MAWA Trust.

Applicants must be Australian citizens of at least five years standing (see the Guidelines for more information about criteria).
30 November in the year prior to commencement.
