Gowrie Scholarship Trust Fund

Australian candidateThe scholarships are intended for research and are generally tenable for two years either within Australia or overseas. The value of the award is $4,000 per annum.

Eligibility

Members of the Australian Defence Forces (as defined by the Trust), and lineal descendants of members of the Australian Defence Forces who saw active service in World War II, are eligible to apply. Special consideration given to lineal descendants of a member of the forces who died as a result of any occurrence which happened during his or her period of enlistment. Applicants should be graduates of Australian universities or other persons who have completed a course of tertiary education at a recognised institution in Australia.

Value

The value of the scholarship is $4,000 per annum. Scholarships are awarded for a period of two years.

How to apply

  1. You must demonstrate, with evidence, that you meet the criteria for this scholarship prior to nominating this option in Apply Online. Refer to the Guidelines (Word doc). Please send this evidence to Graduate Studies Office
  2. Applications in duplicate, on the prescribed application form (Word doc), must be submitted by 31 October (for awards to commence in the following year) as follows:
    • original to Graduate Studies Office
    • duplicate copy to the Trustees, The Gowrie Scholarship Trust Fund, 3/32 Beaconsfield Road, Mosman NSW 2088
  3. Go to Apply online and follow the instructions for applying to UniSA
