Fee-relief scholarships
Background
Australian higher degree by research (HDR) students are exempt from the payment of
tuition fees to the University for a limited time only, as follows:
- Doctoral students are exempt from tuition fees for up to the equivalent of
4 years full-time.
- Masters by Research students are exempt from tuition
fees for up to the equivalent of 2 years full-time.

Criteria for eligibility
HDR students must:
- currently be enrolled at UniSA in either a Doctoral degree by
Research or a Masters by Research
- have completed their data collection
or equivalent
- be in the writing-up stage and
- not be a continuing UniSA academic staff member.
Duration
Up to a
maximum of six months.
