Two PhD scholarships are available from late 2009 to 2013 in the Centre
for Regulation and Market Analysis (CRMA) at the University of South
Australia (UniSA) for a study of water markets.
A range of water analyses, case studies and water modelling will be conducted by a multidisciplinary team of seven researchers and two PhD candidates working on an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Project.
All candidates will be based at UniSA's City West campus in Adelaide, within the CRMA.
Candidates interested in studying the community and social impacts of water markets in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia are encouraged to apply. In particular, we are looking for graduates with strong environmental or natural resource economics, econometrics and/or sociology qualifications.
Each candidate will receive a tax-free scholarship of $26,669 tax free per annum (2009 rate) plus a budget of $6,000 per annum for costs associated with the research. Top-up scholarships may also be available.

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia, New Zealand citizens are eligible. International students are also eligible.
