The
Andrew Knox Memorial Scholarship is for research
into industrial relations or labour issues.
The scholarship - worth A$20,500 a year for up to three years - was established to commemorate UniSA graduate Andrew Knox, a committed unionist who died at the World Trade Center in New York on 11 September 2001. Knox studied at UniSA in the late 80s and went on to build a career in industrial relations, working in various positions including senior industrial officer for the Australian Workers Union (AWU).
Funded by the State Government of South Australia and the AWU, the Andrew Knox Memorial Scholarship is open to PhD or Masters by research students who are citizens or permanent residents of Australia, as well as junior academic staff members.
