| 1 | A distinction is made between Honours 2A and Honours 1 for Scholarship allocation purposes. Both Honours 2A and Honours 1 are eligible to be considered for admission into a PhD program |
| 2 | APA, IPRS and other prestigious scholarships are awarded to Honours 1 or Honours 1 Equivalent applicants only. Other funded scholarships may be awarded to Honours 1 and Honours 2A applicants |
| 3 | The University allocates scholarships using two methods: Stream 1: Direct Honours and Stream 2: Publications and Professional Experience. Honours equivalence is determined through the scoring of Stream 2 |

| 5 | Divsions/Schools/Institutes may recommend that applicants be considered for Masters by Research before a Doctorate, even when eligibility for Doctorate is demonstrated |
