The Libraries on each UniSA campus offer an extensive
range of resources and services for higher degree by research (HDR)
students and staff. Many of the services are accessible via the web, and
workstations in each Library provide access to the Library catalogue,
databases, other resources and services. Visit the
Library for more
information regarding services.
Each research concentration and Division has an Academic Library Services Team who provide research support, including a range of training programs.
You can also use the Ask the Library online service which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for brief reference questions and assistance with accessing and using the Library's resources and services.
Access the Library catalogue for all the items held by the UniSA Library. You can place requests for some items held at another campus to be sent to and collected from the campus of your choice. You can also look at My record to review the list of items you have borrowed. You may be able to renew items if no one else is waiting for them, or you can cancel requests no longer required.
The Library also provides access to the library
catalogues of
University of Adelaide and
Flinders University of South Australia. You are eligible for
universal borrowing, which allows you limited borrowing rights at
the other university libraries in Australia. Ask at the Service desk for
details prior to visiting these libraries.
The Library provides an extensive range of databases to support your information needs. Some of the databases you may find useful are:
These databases contain a high proportion of peer
reviewed (refereed) journals.
Bibliographic management software enables researchers and students to
create a database of references found in online databases and
catalogues. These references can then be inserted into word processed
documents and used to create bibliographies in different styles.
RefWorks, EndNote and EndNote Web are available for UniSA staff and
students.

This database allows HDR students to identify other
students within the University who have research interests relevant to
their own. All research proposals deposited are included in a searchable

library catalogue. For more information see the
Research
proposal page.
The University is a member of the Australasian Digital Theses (ADT) Program. This is a national database of digital versions of theses produced by postgraduate HDR students at Australian universities. You can use this database to search for Australian theses. When you have completed your higher degree by research thesis you will be invited to deposit your approved thesis in the database.
