Our services
An overview of our services and a selection of resources are available here. Please note that information on this website is not designed to replace expert legal advice.
The Solicitors are qualified legal practitioners who have a good understanding of UniSA's activities and provide the following services:
- assistance with contractual matters
- advice on Intellectual Property issues
- advice on matters which have or may have legal implications for the University
- assistance with interpretation of and compliance with UniSA statutes, by-laws and policies.
The Solicitors do not provide legal advice on personal matters.
Obtaining services from the Solicitors
To request advice from Legal services, please complete the Enquiry Form - Word (76kb) or RTF (173kb) - and email to: legal@unisa.edu.au. Upon receipt of the form, a new file will be created, and a solicitor will contact you.
Staff seeking to establish research or consultancy projects need to contact their relevant Business Development Manager who will assess the commercial viability of the project and then liaise with a Solicitor in relation to any legal issues.
The Solicitors aim to provide efficient services and, where necessary, will refer the matter to a more appropriate part of UniSA or to UniSA's external lawyers.
