General information
How do I spend my funding?
Several granting agencies such as the ARC provide a 'one-line' budget. This implies that the grant recipient will be required to spend funding awarded broadly in accordance with the original project budget. If variations outside of the original budget are expected, this will often require approval from the funding agency.
If you require any further clarification, please contact our Research Capacity and Compliance Officers for further advice.
How do I appoint staff?
You are required to liaise with your human resource coordinator located within your school/division/institute. Personnel cannot be appointed unless an employment contract is drawn up.
How do I carry over funds?
All requests must be made to Research Capacity and Compliance in writing. Please email your written requests to ResearchCompliance@unisa.edu.au. In the subject header, please enter 'Carry-over/variation request - Application ID - Name of first CI'.
