Confidentialised Unit Record Files (CURFS)

  Information Services is the first point of contact for requesting Confidentialised Unit Record Files (CURFS) from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

What are CURFS?

To apply for a CURF

Forms are available on the CURF application and undertaking forms webpage:

  1. Visit the ABS website to view the list of available CURFS
  2. Read the Responsible access to ABS CURFS training manual (PDF file, 364kb)
  3. Download the Request to access a CURF (REQ1) (PDF file, 109kb); if applying for more than five CURFS you will need to complete a Request to access a CURF (REQ2) (PDF file, 109kb)
  4. If you are a new CURF user download and complete CURF individual user undertaking (IUU1) (PDF file, 170kb)
  5. Send the completed and signed application to Sally Carpenter, Research and Innovation Services, Mawson Lakes campus.

Once your application is received in Research and Innovation Services we will forward your application to the ABS.
