Research committees

Responsibility for the direction and management of research within the University is delegated to the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President: Research and Innovation.

University-wide committees
Three major University policy committees: Research Policy Committee (RPC); Research Integrity, Accountability and Compliance Committee (RIACC); and Research Degrees Committee (RDC) report to Academic Board. RPC and RDC develop policy and evaluate performance in the three major areas of university research: research concentrations, research development and collaboration, and research education. RIACC is responsible for overseeing issues related to research integrity, accountability and compliance. A number of ethics and compliance subcommittees report to RIACC - Human Research Ethics Committee, Animal Ethics Liaison Committee, Chemical Hazards Subcommittee and Institutional Biosafety Committee.

Research Quality, Innovation and Engagement Metrics Working Group (REQUIEM) (staff access only) considers issues related to research quality, innovation and engagement. The National Partnerships and Cooperative Research Centres Engagement Group (NPCRCEG) provides advice to the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President: Research and Innovation on UniSA's participation in CRCs, to evaluate the benefits of CRC bids during selection rounds and to report periodically to the DVC: R&I on the performance of CRCs in which UniSA is a participant.
