Research students

The Research Centre for Languages and Cultures welcomes PhD, Masters
and Honours students who wish to conduct research that complements the
research interests of the Centre.
Centre members supervise graduate students from a range of academic
backgrounds, including:
- linguistics/applied linguistics
- education
- medicine
- psychology
- humanities
- social sciences
Depending on the research interests of the student, we co-supervise
within the Centre or with members of other disciplines and have strong
national and international links with other universities.
As a research student, your enrolment includes membership of the Centre and
opportunities to become involved in its research culture and activities.
These include taking part in weekly research seminars conducted by
Centre members and visiting scholars, developing your research ideas through
engagement with other graduate students and researchers in the Centre, and
more generally benefitting from your involvement in a dynamic,
interdisciplinary research and teaching environment.
