Programs and courses

The School of Psychology places great emphasis on preparing graduates to be effective in their chosen profession.  To ensure that our programs remain relevant to the changing needs of industry, our range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs are delivered by teams of academics who are employed in or maintain close associations with their professions.  The Australian Psychological Society's (the national professional accrediting body) preferred model for Psychological practice is the Scientist Practitioner (sometimes called Scientist Professional) model and the Psychology postgraduate programs in the School are based upon this model.  Also, work placements are an integral part of some courses, and the School operates a professional Psychology Clinic so students can develop their workplace skills whilst studying.
