Using an AutoLoader


What is an "Autoloader"?

An Autoloader is a vending machine through which new "Casual User" photocopy cards may be purchased.

It can also be used to add additional funds to the Monitor Photocopying / Printing Account associated with an existing "Casual User" or "UniSA Student ID" card.

At least one Autoloader is located in the Library on each campus.


Types of Autoloaders

On each campus, there is at least one LARGE autoloader which accepts both coins and notes. At Magill campus there are two LARGE  autoloaders. At both City East and City West campus there is ALSO a SMALL Autoloader which only accepts coins.


How to buy a new Casual User photocopy card

A new "Casual User" photocopying card can be purchased via any Autoloader.

Only a  $2.00 coin can be used to purchase a new card.

Instructions on how to purchase a card are displayed prominently on a notice attached to each autoloader. Failure to follow the instructions correctly may result in the loss of your money.

If you do not understand the instructions, or experience any difficulty, please ask one of the Library Staff members for assistance.


How to add value to a the Monitor Account associated with a Casual User or UniSA Student ID Card

Instructions on how to add funds to a Monitor Account associated with a Casual User or UniSA Student ID card are displayed prominently on a notice attached to each autoloader. Failure to follow the instructions correctly may result in the loss of your money. Significant delays may also occur whilst mistakes are checked and rectified.

If you do not understand the instructions, or experience any difficulty, please ask one of the Library Staff members for assistance.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO AUTOLOADER USERS

Please note:

  •  it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that large cash amounts are NOT added to Monitor accounts. You should only add funds sufficient for your immediate photocopying or printing needs. If you need change for large denomination notes, enquire at the Library Circulation desk.
  • there are NO CASH REFUNDS available. Unused credit held in ANY student "Monitor"  account will NOT be refunded in cash.
  • The bona-fide owner of a photocopying account may request that the unused photocopying credit balance may be transferred to another valid photocopying card, by application to circulation desk staff in the library.
  • The AUTOLOADERS do NOT provide change.

Coin and note denominations which can be used in Autoloaders

All coin denominations EXCEPT for 5c coins may be used when adding value to a Photocopy Card.

All notes EXCEPT for $100 and $50 may be used when adding value to a photocopy card.

NONE of the Autoloaders provide change.

Please note:

  • CASH REFUNDS of any unused photocopying credit held in is NOT AVAILABLE under any circumstances. The bona-fide owner of the funds held in a Monitor account may request that the unused credit balance be transferred to another valid Monitor account, by application to circulation desk staff in the library.


Receipts for Autoloader transactions

The LARGE Autoloaders issue receipts for all "Buy Card" and "Add Value" transactions. The SMALL Autoloaders do NOT issue receipts for ANY transactions.

If the printer roll on which receipts are printed needs to be replenished the Autoloader will NOT issue receipts.

If you notice that an Autoloader is NOT issuing receipts, please inform a Library Staff member immediately.

In the event of any query concerning a transaction involving a LARGE Autoloader, you will be required to produce the corresponding receipt showing details of the transaction.


Reporting Autoloader faults and obtaining assistance

If you experience any difficulties or problems, they should be reported immediately to a Library Staff member who will investigate and attempt to rectify the problem.
