Student Lost Cards procedure

LOST Student ID cards

  • You are strongly advised to report a lost UniSA Student ID card to Campus Services as soon as you discover its loss.
  • The lost UniSA Student ID card will then be "locked" which will prevent unauthorised use of any funds which still remain on the account.
  • Until such a lock is placed on the account, any available funds would be available for use on any Monitored device by any person who comes into possession of the card.
  • Any unauthorized use of funds on the lost card before it has been reported as "lost" and "locked" cannot be re-imbursed.
  • The "lock" will be placed immediately during office hours (8.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Fri). If the loss is reported outside of office hours, the "lock" will be applied to on the next working day.
  • Until your Student ID card is replaced, you can continue to access Monitored Student photocopiers via an existing Casual User card already in your possession, or you may  purchase a new Casual User card from the Autoloader in the Library
  • Funds from your Student ID card CANNOT be transferred to your Casual User card.
  • After your loss has been reported, Campus Central staff will advise you on the process for obtaining a replacement card. (Note that a replacement fee may apply.)
  • Any funds remaining on the "lost card account" will automatically be transferred to the "replacement card account" as part of the process, and will be available for use on the next working day after you have received your replacement card.

LOST Casual User photocopy cards

  • A lost "Casual User" card cannot be replaced.
  • Any funds which were available on it when it was lost cannot be reimbursed or transferred to any other card.
