POD Centre overview - City West campus


Location and Opening Hours:

  • The "Print on Demand" (POD) Centre is located in City West Campus, in Level 2 of the Library (Catherine Helen Spence Building).
  • This is a "staffed" facility, and the opening hours are 8:15am to 4:00pm, weekdays. Outside of these hours, POD services at City West are unavailable.

Services available for UniSA STUDENTS:

  • MONITORED Printing service to our FX DC250 Colour and B&W Printer.
    • Full Colour A4, A3 and SRA3 printing
    • Full Colour and B&W A4 and A3 Transparency printing
    • Full Colour and B&W Large Format Printing (A3, A1 and A0 "per meter") printing on our CANON W8400 printer
    • The POD Print Queues are accessible to bona-fide UniSA Students from computers in selected computer pools.

  • FAXING Service
    • Local, Interstate and International fax services are available via the POD Operator.
  • SCANNING Service
    • Scanning of documents / images and saving to either a USB Storage Device or Email Address is available - NB maximum scan size is A3.
  • FINISHING Services
    • Machine Stapling - all "multiple page" documents (between 2 and 25 pages in length) which are printed at the POD may optionally be finished with a staple in the "Top Left" corner position of the page.
    • Other "Machine Stapling" and finishing options may be available for selection when the document is printed. Please contact the POD operator for details.
    • Other "Manual Finishing" services, including plastic and metal coil binding, laminating etc are also now available. Please contact the POD operator for details.
  • STATIONERY sales
    • A variety of stationery and other items are also available for sale over the counter at the POD.
  • IMPORTANT - please note that for Students, payment for ALL printing and finishing services at  the POD Centre is via your MONITOR account referenced by your UniSA Student ID Card. No other form of payment for goods or services is available.

Services available for UniSA STAFF

  • With the planned future introduction of "UniSA STAFF ID Cards", the "MONITORED Printing Services" (including POD printing) which are available for STUDENTS  will also be made available for UniSA STAFF use.
  • Until the STAFF ID CARDS are introduced, temporary arrangements are in place for STAFF to use these services using an existing "Staff MONITOR Access Card".
  • Please refer to the STAFF Monitored Printing Service web page for further information about how UniSA Staff may use the POD service.
  • As new services for STAFF are introduced, full details will be published through  this web page and through the normal channels.

Suggestions for new POD Services

  • Subject to demand, we hope to develop new services to be available in the POD centre for both STUDENTS and STAFF.
  • Your suggestions for any new printing or finishing services, or indeed on any aspect of how the POD Centre operates are most welcome. Please send us an email with any suggestions.
