High achieving students may apply to continue on to complete an Honours degree, which involves an extra year of study on top of the three year Bachelor program.
Normally, candidates for admission to the Honours program will have a credit level average in an undergraduate program in biotechnology or biomolecular chemistry.
Honours students complete a research project with the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, a biotechnology company, or a research organisation. Many Honours graduates go on to PhD studies at UniSA’s Sansom Institute and other universities and research organisations.
Other study options for graduates include postgraduate coursework programs in related health science disciplines.
