UniSAinfo Reporting is a secure, web based, management reporting environment designed to provide university wide access to wide variety of management reports. Users are able to view and generate information tailored to their local area or personal requirements using data from individual corporate systems such as Human Resources, Medici, Project Quality System, Research Master and Finance1, as well as other data sources.
enterprise data warehouse (edw)
An enterprise data warehouse (edw) is a data store designed to produce a single, comprehensive view of data that an organisation accumulates during its course of operations. By collecting and integrating all available data in a single data store (the edw), the University can maintain a transparent view of its data and therefore empower managers to make better business decisions based on that data with confidence. The edw will empower users to extract a range of corporate data (eg finance) independent of specialist IT resources and therefore will improve query turnaround time, data integrity and the quality of information provided to management. This project reflects the transition from the traditional model of information dependence on IT and system owners to information democracy.
Enterprise Planning (EP)
EP is a Cognos solution tool that allows the University to engage managers and other individuals in essential planning and decision making tasks. It utilises web-based technology and provides a platform for institution-wide, real-time conversations about planning and measurement. Complete and accurate corporate information is captured across the University and modelled centrally then distributed to users.
