Legislative Compliance

The University’s Code of Ethical Conduct states: “We respect the laws of the land”. We recognise that legal compliance is a fundamental part of sound commercial practice. The University is committed to ensuring that legal compliance is embedded in all its activities, including corporate governance, due diligence and risk management strategies.

Planning and Assurance Services maintains an indicative forward audit schedule for all Tier 1 legislation. The schedule is updated annually and approved by Audit and Risk Management Committee in the course of reviewing the annual risk assessment update. Legislation assessed as Tier 2 may be reviewed periodically for compliance and control effectiveness.
