Transnational academic calendars

The Commonwealth Government of Australia has conducted a review of Australia's Higher Education system. As an outcome of this review the Government has established a reform package including a change in legislation. Some of these changes affect all students regardless of location, or mode of study. From the commencement of the 2005 Academic year UniSA will adopt a new configuration of semesters/terms. These will be known as study periods and in essence replicate the current term and semester configuration that students would be familiar with.

As a transnational student your program timetable will essentially remain the same, however your enrolment will now be attached to the appropriate study period in the academic year and subject to the relevant key dates. As the study periods overlap it is unlikely that you will have an enrolment in all 7 study periods.

The study period may not reflect the actual start/end dates of your term however the important dates (for example, final day to withdraw without notation on your transcript) will be set by the study period that the transnational term is associated with. This may mean that in some transnational terms you will have more time to withdraw, or less time to withdraw in others.

Please note: These critical dates must be observed by all students at all times, and the dates outlined below are the last day that changes may be processed therefore you should ensure withdrawal forms are received by UniSA prior to these dates.

There will be no change to the refund of fee policy for your program.
