Why UNAP?
UniSA is committed to working with partners to improve social, education and economic outcomes for people who are disadvantaged. UniSA and its antecedent institutions have a long history of working with communities in the northern area. In 2002, UniSA established UNAP to strengthen, focus and coordinate its activities in the north. The UNAP program is a strategic, holistic and collaborative approach to building the capacity and resilience of the northern Adelaide community.
Why Northern Adelaide?
Northern Adelaide as a region still suffers high levels of social disadvantaged. Pockets of high unemployment and low levels of tertiary education prohibit many residents from participating in the fast changing economy of the region.
UNAP facilitates social inclusion projects that increase educational participation, promote pathways into university education and training, and build community capacity.
