Access and Bridging programs


First Generation Program

This program focuses on school to work pathways through University for young South Australians who are targeted as having the ability to be the first in their families to attend University. The aim of the Program is that students will commence by developing their Personal Learning Plan in year 10. This will assist students with planning for their future and identifying goals to achieve this future, including senior secondary and post-secondary pathways. For students interested in a higher education pathways, this may include nominating to participate in the University Orientation Program at UniSA to be taken either in semester 2 of year 10 or in year 11.

Foundation Studies

The program provides an alternate method of entry into all undergraduate degree programs across the University and prepares students for further tertiary study. At UniSA we believe higher education is for everyone, not just school leavers. In fact, almost half the students enrolling in UniSA undergraduate programs do not come straight from school. Portfolio Entry

This alternative entry scheme involves the development of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate a student’s potential to succeed at university. The scheme provides an alternative mode of entry into four programs at UniSA for year 12 students from a number of state secondary schools in northern Adelaide. The programs are Visual Communications, Sustainable Environments, Business and Nursing.

TAFE Pathways

Studying at TAFE is a pathway towards a UniSA degree. Many UniSA undergraduate programs have places reserved for TAFE students. So even if you left school at Year 10, your TAFE qualification may be all you need to gain entry into UniSA. For more information go to: http://www.unisa.edu.au/future/tafe/default.asp
 

UniSA PAL
