Specific orientation information is available for undergraduate, postgraduate and International students starting their studies in the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Study Period 5, 2009.

If you miss orientation...
Most orientation activities occur in the week before lectures start but if you can't make it onto campus you can organise your own orientation, online and on campus on the Getting Started website.

International Students

Orientation to UniSA for International Students is about making your transition to the University of South Australia and features activities and information sessions that are designed to introduce you to life in Adelaide and study at UniSA. Your orientation will also provide an essential introduction to your chosen program of study at UniSA.


Postgraduate Students

To support you in commencing your studies with us, we will be convening an Introductory Workshop for Postgraduate Students on Thursday 16 June 2009, which you may be interested in attending.We will introduce you to postgraduate study at UniSA and to the various services available to support you as a student at this university. This day will suit all commencing students particularly those new to university study, new to UniSA or for students who have had a gap in their studies.


Undergraduate Students - OUA Transition

As a former OUA student transferring to the external Bachelor of Nursing program, you may need some support and information about the services available to you as a UniSA student. You can register for any of the Learning and Teaching sessions below which are specifically designed to introduce you to student life at UniSA and to the online environment.

You will need to register for the sessions 'Studying at UniSA' and 'Online at UniSA'.

No registration is needed for the session 'Your rights and safety as a UniSA student'.

  • Studying at UniSA: Are you ready?
    Students can come to an interactive session to understand the expectations of studying at UniSA, have their questions answered and meet other students.
  • Online @ UniSA
    These information sessions explain the online nature to the University. Students can find out about MyUniSA and where to navigate to find resources on the UniSA website.
  • Your rights and safety as a UniSA student
    This workshop will give you important information about how the uni works and your rights as a student. The session will also include vital information on safety on and off campus.
